GDI India has been formed with the idea of creating an alliance of Indian companies that
will provide the world with a source of intellectual capability for interpreting the genomic information of all bacteria, Archea, plants and animals.
Building on the information technology eco-system developed in India over the past decades, GDI-India will help carry this capability into the realm of genomics. Qualified professionals will be carefully selected and exclusively trained to help worldwide scientists in academia, government and industry answer questions about how genes and other elements of the DNA in a genome cooperate to run a cell. Inventions that arise from these solutions will lead to multi-million dollar new businesses and several thousand jobs in India and throughout the world.
